Welcome! I am Lori Kolbenschlag, CPP, owner and photographer at Legacy Portraits. My studio is located near Peachtree City, Georgia, in the historic town of Senoia. As an international award-winning photographer, my specialty is photographing newborns, children and young families. Photography is an integral part of a family’s legacy, and capturing images that preserve a memory forever is my passion. Children grow up much too fast, and newborns change daily (as a mom of three and Mimi of two, I know this well!). There is no better way to document those moments than investing in a professional photographer.
I am professionally trained with a degree in commercial photography and digital imaging. As an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, I attend workshops and conventions, learning the latest and greatest techniques to bring to my clients. I have also gone the extra step by becoming a Certified Professional Photographer. To obtain the title I had to demonstrate technical competence through a written examination and photographic image submission. Nationwide I am one of only 3% of photographers who are CPP's! In January 2019 I achieved my goal of earning my Master of Photography degree! I am very proud of this accomplishment.
Special Kids Photography of America and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep are two nonprofit organizations with which I am actively involved. Special Kids Photography of America caters to the unique needs of children with disabilities. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep trains, educates, and mobilizes professional photographers to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant. I have also recently been selected as a photographer for the Tiny Sparrow Foundation. The Tiny Sparrow Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides professional photography, free of charge, to families of children with life threatening illnesses.
